How do I search for current jobs?
On the jobs search page you can search all current opportunities by keyword search such as position name, location, reference number etc.
How do I apply for a job with Compass Group?
Our application process is online and each job advertisement has an 'apply' button. You will be asked to submit your resume (or CV) and complete the online application form which takes approximately 5-10 minutes to complete. You can also attach a covering letter (optional).
Our advice is to make sure you have filled in all your application form, attach an up-to-date resume (or CV), and spend time answering the questions with your best written response. You will need to be able to recall your password and secret question to update your application or to check on its progress.
What if I have applied for a job and forgotten my username and password?
The first time you apply for a position with Compass Group you will be asked to enter your email address (Username), and create a password and secret question. When you return to Compass Group Jobs the system will remember your email address and will prompt you to enter your password.
If you have forgotten your password, click on “Forgotten your password?” and you will be asked to enter the answer to your secret question. A new password will be resent to your email address so you can log in. Once back in the system you can then update your account with a preferred new password.
How do I know if you received my application?
You will receive an email notification confirming receipt of your application.
I applied for a position. What happens now?
Compass Group has a professional team of recruiters that work directly with our hiring managers, reviewing all applications to our career site. Candidates will be reviewed and those qualified will be contacted by email regarding the status of their application. If unsuccessful, you will also be advised via email.
Can I call a Recruiter or Hiring Manager?
Due to the high volume of interest in opportunities with our company, it is not possible for our recruiters or hiring managers to field calls from every candidate. A Compass Group recruiter will contact you should your skill-set and experience match one of our opportunities. It is our priority to make sure you are kept regularly updated with email notifications on the progress of your application. We request that you do not phone Compass Group offices with any recruitment related matters as they will not be able to answer your inquiries.
How long will the recruitment process take?
We have a thorough selection process so expect it to take two to four weeks from the date of your application to receiving an employment offer.
May I send my resume by fax, email or by post?
No. Applications must be made online so that your application is electronically stored and tracked in our recruitment management system. This will allow the community of recruiters and hiring managers within the company to review your skills and experiences against the opportunities available.
Do you consider international applicants who want to work in Australia?
Before applying for any jobs with Compass Group in Australia you have to have an approved visa from the Australian Department of Immigration & Citizenship (DIAC). For advice on visas, refer to the DIAC website (www.immi.gov.au) or visit your local Australian embassy. Business sponsorship is only available for professionals and other skilled migrants who have skills in particular occupations required in Australia. This is called the Skilled Occupation List (SOL) and requires a skills assessment. This list is available on the DIAC website.

What is the length of time a job remains posted?
Some job postings only give candidates a window of one to two weeks to apply. Others remain open until the position has been filled. When you search the job you will see if there is closing date or not.
Can I apply for more than one job at a time?
We recommend that you consider which job best matches your skill-set and career aspirations and apply accordingly. This then enables the Recruiter to focus on considering you for that position.
Who can submit an application?
Our job postings are designed to attract people who are interested in joining Compass Group. They are not intended for recruitment suppliers. In fact, we will not accept responsibility for any fees related to unsolicited applications from recruitment suppliers. If you live in remote or rural areas and need assistance with internet access, we recommend you contact your local Job Services Australia provider and they will help you to lodge an application.
How can I attach a new resume (or CV) to my application?
On the applicant login page you can log into your account and add a new document to your job application.
How do I withdraw an application?
If you would like to complete your application or view your submitted application, go to the applicant login page and then choose the application from which you would like to withdraw from and click “Withdraw”. From the drop down list, select a reason for withdrawing your application. Enter brief details / reason for withdrawal and click “Withdraw Application”. Your application has now been withdrawn.
