Your learning and development journey

Our people are awesome. They breathe life into our brands. They make great things happen. Sometimes, they just make you smile.

They’re not just at the heart of our business – they are our business. And we need lots more just like them. We know better than anyone that in a service business your people make more of a difference than anything else. So we pull out all the stops to ensure our training and benefits are unbeatable. That way, we get to attract and retain the best of the best.

From baristas and security personnel to chefs and senior management, every new Compass employee samples a true taste of the company before they even walk through the door on their first day, with our industry leading e-learning module. Our core mandatory induction programs ensure that once you join the Compass Group you are equipped with the introductory knowledge and skills you will require to achieve a great start. Our company induction provides a comprehensive overview of our Health, Safety & Environment, Code of Conduct and Company Policies & Procedures.

Compass College Online (CCO) is our Learning Management System (LMS) that houses all our online modules and allows us to keep track of any training you have completed. Your learning journey begins here with your corporate induction and other allocated modules required to ensure you are well equipped to get started working on your site.

We have many people performing a variety of jobs across multiple sectors and sites, with very particular training needs. On-the-job training is delivered by our managers or specialist staff members to ensure appropriate and safe use of the tools and equipment you need to carry out your specific role, whilst remaining in the workplace.

Compass Group’s Traineeship & Apprenticeship Program offers structured training that provides you with a nationally recognised qualification in your area of expertise. These are delivered both on and off the job through blended learning and in some cases through the process of Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) where qualifications can be awarded without having to attend and complete a full training course.
