Systems & Technology Specialist

In a period of growth, we are seeking applications for a Systems & Technology Specialist based at Queensland Children’s Hospital responsible for actively seeking manners & methods to innovate business processes through technology prompted by ongoing data analysis on contract performance

The Position

This hands-on role reporting to the Service Delivery Manager will require you to;

  • Administer QFM Application (back-end configuration changes, maintaining General Settings/user access, provide/co-ordinate system training as required)
  • Work with Compass D & TS to manage Infrastructure
  • Continue delivery of key deliverables from the QFM Improvement Project
  • Manage all QFM costs and ensure this is discussed with Commercial to capture in the budget; whilst identifying continuous improvement
  • Identify system capabilities in removing manual/administrative processes
  • Ensure comprehensive procedures accompany any system/process changes
  • Provide a level of expertise in process development and mapping
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, etc. and provide reports/summaries for review
  • Ensure SharePoint/Shared Drive infrastructure is adequately managed (update, access, etc.)
  • Assist with intermediate IT issues on site
  • Manage network outages and communicate with Compass D & TS and CHQ ICT as required
  • Ensure continuous improvement strategies are identified

The Person

We will be looking for candidates with the following attributes;

  • Experience in Systems Management and Administration
  • Experience in Data Analysis Software
  • Experience in Process Writing
  • Sound technical and analytical skills
  • Ability to prioritise and multi-task
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Positive ‘can-do’ attitude, who can work autonomously in a team environment
  • The ability to obtain a clear National Police Clearance
  • The ability to obtain the flu vaccine
