Reconciliation

Compass Group Australia recognises Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the traditional owners of the land on which we live and work. As leaders operating across every state and territory, we’re committed to playing a meaningful role in reconciliation and closing the gap. Through strengthening community relationships and deepening respect for First Nations peoples’ cultures and achievements, we drive sustainable opportunities and positive social change as a proud Stretch Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) organisation.

Action Plan

Compass Group Australia acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the lands on which we operate, and we pay respect to their Elders past, present and emerging.

As industry leaders in food, supply chain and support services, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander participation and engagement is a critical part of our business and operations. However, we understand that we can, and should, do more.

The Nutritional Hunger Project

Partnering to Make Nutritional Hunger in Remote Indigenous Communities History

The Nutritional Hunger Project (NHP) is working to eliminate food insecurity across remote Indigenous communities throughout Australia. Every initiative is co-designed with Indigenous and community leaders, ensuring community priorities are front and center.

Through our sites and operations, we provide in-kind support, food redirection, subject matter expertise, and operational assistance. With 9+ programs and locations already established, we’ve delivered over 31,000+ meals, facilitated 36+ workshops and programs with 171+ community attendees, and helped save 3,210 Youth Councillor hours – reinvested directly into vital youth services.
