Michael Lambourne

Michael leads Compass Group Australia’s (CGA) Living & Working Services (East) portfolio, which is comprised of Defence, Education, and Healthcare, as well as Offshore & Remote contracts on the East coast of Australia. Leveraging experience in operations, commercial management, finance and strategic transformation, paired with his passion for continuous improvement, Michael leads his team to deliver safe, efficient and top tier services to remote and urban communities across the eastern region.   

Before stepping into his current role, Michael held the Executive Director – Finance role at CGA, and previously served as CFO at Moly-Cop. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Wollongong, an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management along with being a Certified Practising Accountant.   

Michael leads with pragmatism and purpose at CGA, driving performance through people and innovation. By harnessing the individual strengths of his team, he ensures they are united in delivering bold, client-focused solutions that create real value. His leadership fosters a culture of ownership and creativity, enabling CGA to consistently exceed expectations and evolve with the needs of its clients and markets.
