We are currently recruiting for an experienced and passionate full time Chef Manager to join the Compass Group team with our Education brand Chartwells, working at a prestigious independent campus located in Toowoomba.

As one of our highly regarded Chef Managers, you will be responsible for owning the development and implementation of the menu, influencing the brand’s development and mentoring your own team of kitchen staff in this prestigious site.

A bit about you

  • Previous experience within a similar capacity who is a true foodie at heart
  • A passion for nutrition, sustainability and locally sourced seasonal produce
  • A genuine interest in the well-being of your students and faculty members
  • A highly skilled and energetic hands on chef, with the ability to switch from catering for boarders to café style fare and fine-dining and functions and events
  • Exceptional back of house control, costing and percentage management is expected
  • Inspirational leader, who is able determine standards, mentor junior staff and transform a kitchen into a well-oiled machine
