We are currently recruiting for an experienced and passionate full time Chef Manager to join the Compass Group team with our Education brand Chartwells.

A bit about the role

This is a true all-rounder hands on role in a busy school operation delivering high quality food service. For those who thrive off variation and fast paced settings – this is the role for you. With a High Street offering at your helm, you will oversee the Front of House and Back of House teams and drive growth with your experienced business knowledge.

This is a unique opportunity to join a team with a real passion for fresh food and fresh ideas in a highly prestigious Gold Coast education site.

A bit about you

  • Qualified chef essential
  • Previous experience running a small to medium sized business, with a focus on food cost & labour margin management
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students to admin staff & school executive
  • Strong emphasis on modern, wellbeing, inspired menus with a focus on visual presentation
  • People management & delivering high standard of customer focused service
  • Ability to maintain a calm and respectful demeanour at all times; no matter the pressure!
