The Position

Based in our Sydney Support office, this role will see you responsible for the end of month accounting for an allocated portfolio within our client base. This is an opportunity to play a key role in consistently delivering and exceeding our client expectations and requires a confident, pragmatic individual to deliver this successful outcome. This role will involve detailed reviews and financial analysis of the relevant portfolio, complex and regular engagement with the Key Account Managers to identify and drive value.

We are wanting to hear from candidates who perhaps already have demonstrable experience as an Assistant Accountant; but we are also interested in hearing from high performing graduates with some experience. What we are non-negotiable on is drive, ambition, energy, and delivery. Results are important, but how you go about getting the results is what’s important to us.  A Day in the Life

  • Accurate & Timely Month End Closing Processes
  • Client reporting and billing
  • Month end reconciliations
  • Site audits
  • Preparation of detailed Budgets and Forecasts
  • Contract Compliance
  • Assisting Internal & External Stakeholders
  • Ability to grasp and understand supporting/ sub ledger IT systems and how it interacts with the PL
  • Identifying and communicate opportunities for improvement & process streamlining 
  • Administration and ad-hoc duties including project work

The Person

  • Accounting degree qualified and/or studying towards similar qualifications with similar field
  • Previous experience within a business environment
  • Sound technical and analytical skills
  • Ability to problem solve, prioritise and multi-task
  • Intermediate skill level on Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to comfortably communicate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Positive ‘can-do’ attitude, who can work autonomously in a team environment
  • Dedicated, passionate and committed to progressing the performance of the portfolio
