We are recruiting for Graduate of Safety Projects to join an established community of safety professionals working across Compass Group Australia. This graduate opportunity would suit individuals who have a genuine interest in all things safety and have completed a Environment, Health, Safety, Food Science or related degree.  

By joining us as a Graduate of Safety Projects, you will experience working with a variety of stakeholders both in the office, and out on our sites across Australia.

Some duties may include:

  • Partnering with experienced Operational and Professional Safety advisors in the end to end inception to implementation of improving and or new Health, Safety and Environment projects; including but not limited to research, change and communication management, training development and delivery and process and procedural writing.
  • Working with site managers and other leaders to review and implement safety plans and projects
  • Developing, communicating and delivering new initiatives such as the safety “app” and digital safety platform
  • Contributing to ongoing systems and process simplification and improvement

A bit about you:

  • Degree qualified – would suit applicants who have studied the following disciplines BSc Science (Food Science major), BSc Health Promotion, BSc Health & Safety or Environment, Bachelor of Health Science, Bachelor Engineering – safety.
  • Knowledge of food safety principles (HACCP) and experience in the food service industry would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Knowledge of applicable legislative requirements
  • Strong report writing skills
  • High level of computer literacy
  • Able to work and travel independently
  • Ability to travel to remote sites throughout Australia
