We are currently searching for a well-established, polished and professional Sales Manager to passionately lead our sales and marketing team at Melbourne and Werribee Zoos. This is an exciting position that requires an efficient and motivated individual to drive the function sales for both of these contracts. You will be a highly effective, sales-focused individual who has a passion for developing and nurturing relationships with existing and potential clients.

Key duties

  • Drive functions revenue through the acquisition of new clients
  • Partner with the Function Manager and Head Chef to ensure market ready function packages are on offer
  • Proficiently manage a full-time sales and marketing team
  • Working knowledge of all function packages on offer tailored to clients’ needs with a focus on up selling to maximise revenue
  • Partner with clients to cater for their event needs
  • Complete any relevant invoicing and commercial activities as required
  • Create an inclusive, imaginative, inspiring environment where everyone works together to enhance the customer experience ensuring service levels never dip below sensational
  • Manage and implement marketing activities aligned with the annual marketing plan

 The Person

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a comparable environment
  • Commercially savvy and knows how to identify and deliver on growth opportunities
  • Positive, supportive, ambitious leader with experience in carrying out personal development plans, staff training sessions and appraisals
  • Develops effective relationships with individuals at all levels, from diverse backgrounds, cultures and locations
  • Is passionate about delivering the highest levels of customer satisfaction and engagement
  • Will have great attention to detail with an excellent ability to multi-task and prioritise
  • Is self-motivated and an excellent communicator
