Sous Chef

• Mainly Monday to Friday roster

Your new role

We currently have an opportunity for a Full Time Sous Chef to join our friendly and established team at Australian National University (ANU) in Bruce, Canberra.  You’ll play a pivotal role in providing a varied, healthy & delicious menu to the students as well as leading and mentoring our junior team members.

Some of your key duties

• Assisting our experienced Executive Chef with kitchen operations
• Producing delicious meals across breakfast, lunch and dinner, including snacks
• Supporting the Executive Chef with waste control and labour
• Mentoring junior staff members

About you

• Trade qualified – Cert III or IV
• Experience within a senior kitchen role
• Experience in high volume / bulk cooking
• Strong allergen awareness
• A Safety-First attitude
• Ability to obtain or have a Working with Vulnerable People Clearance
