Compass Group ranks #1 in Indigenous Employment Index 2022 Project

Compass Group Australia has ranked number 1 out of the 42 participating employers in the first inaugural Indigenous Employment Index 2022 Project undertaken by the Minderoo Foundation – Generation One.

The index is the first research of its kind to measure and identify practices within large organisations that increase and improve Indigenous employment outcomes, and that centres Indigenous voices on the journey towards true employment parity.

Together, the 42 participating organisations employ more than 700,000 Australians, about 5 percent of the Australian workforce.

Participating organisations were assessed on five domains of Indigenous employment – Commitment and Accountability, Workplace Culture and Inclusion, Attraction and Recruitment, Engagement and Development and Partnership and Community.

Compass Group Australia was awarded the Advocacy Rating – which displays the highest commitment to achieving Indigenous employment outcomes in all areas – awarded to only 5% of participating employers.

While we acknowledge and understand there is still more work to be done, we are thrilled to be recognised as an Industry leading organisation driving Indigenous employment outcomes.
